Hyundai is setting roots in Georgia with their HMGMA mass-production plant. In celebration of this huge step, they tasked a selected group of SCAD students with producing a limited-edition, sustainable stationary set to be given to their stakeholders. The set should take inspiration from the environment surrounding the plant.
The teams were given 3 days to produce a finalized pitch complete with designs for all 5 deliverables. After 6 days teams were required to have files ready for printing.
The Wall Calendar was the largest deliverable requested by HMGMA and would set the tone and reflect the art direction of the project. My role was to work with the graphic designers to create illustrations that can integrate well with our chosen type and layout.
The designs were based on the marshes of the low country area where the plant is located.
Grids are a huge source of inspiration for Hyundai's electric vehicles so they were integrated into the designs through a solar panel inspired pattern.
